Award-winning tabla artist, percussionist and educator preserving the Hindustani tradition while shaping its global future.
Find us on InstagramSoyamjeet Patra is an award-winning tabla artist, percussionist and educator dedicated to preserving the tradition of Hindustani classical music while exploring its place in contemporary and global sound.
Recipient of the prestigious Dhruv Award conferred by the Hon'ble Vice President of India and a three-time National Youth Festival winner, he has established himself as one of India's most promising young percussionists. His performance portfolio spans national tours with HCL Concerts, TEDx Delhi, Coke Studio Bharat, programmes by the Ministry of Culture and workshops with the World Health Organization.
A career highlight remains his participation in a world-record musical performance in the Lahaul–Spiti Himalayas, performing tabla at over 20,000 feet above sea level. He has shared the stage with legends and trained in masterclasses with violin maestro L. Shankar.
Through Sangeetagya, he combines the guru–shishya tradition with modern pedagogy — mentoring the next generation with rigour, creativity and artistic integrity.

Catch our masters on tour across India this June — an evening of tabla, vocals and harmonium, powered by HCL Concerts & Full Power Events. More cities to be announced.

I came searching for music. I found a family — and a part of myself I didn't know existed.
The discipline here is unmatched. My guru shaped not just my tabla, but my character.
Sangeetagya doesn't teach music. It opens a door, and walks beside you through it.
